Social participation and Primary Health Care in Brazil: a scoping review

Abstract This article aimed to carry out a scoping review of the literature understand formal experiences social participation that have been developed in context Brazilian Primary Health Care (PHC), since creation National System (SUS) until November 2020. The databases LILACS, PubMed, PsycINFO, and Sociological Abstracts were searched, 20 articles included described PHC. results found discussed regarding profile participants competence participate, process building participatory actions, centrality permanent education as way strengthen health. research revealed distinct territories where PHC operates, highlighting difficulties faced implementing Local Councils (LHC). Thus, it is understood strengthening PHC, especially Family Strategy (FHS) model, involves, dialectical way, construction qualification spaces, which would result central strategy defend SUS at this time resurgence democratic relations Brazil.
